The name says it all, 75% whole biologically farmed Jersey milk with a butterscotch caramel creates a rich and creamy experience.

A creamy base lays the foundations for a sweet ginger bite, followed by a subtle hint of spice that shines through.

A french vanilla influence churned with our creamery Jersey milk is the perfect combo for that New Zealand classic.

The KC Tasting Room is a merge of a Gelato and Sorbet Parlour, combined with an historic journey down memory lane. Two local Matamata families travel two rural roads - Barton Road and Troughton Road, here we share with you joint memorabilia from over 100 years of Jersey farming and industry. Made on-sight you can taste an array of fresh flavours with a true  Kiwi country experience.

OUR UNIQUE difference

We think we are unique, because we see the process through from when the cow is milked, through till when the scoop hits the cone. We also think we are unique because we use the most traced milk in New Zealand, sourced from a farm which is one of the leading properties that's farming for the future. We craft this uniqueness into Gelato, not as common as ice cream around these neck of the woods, but we are proud to be different, or what we say - unique.

WHAT THE CONNOISSEURS THINK

Our journey has seen us acquire many fruits for our labour. The Crème de la Crème of two categories, plus multiple golds and silvers from the New Zealand Ice Cream Awards. When it comes to flavour, it’s all about keeping it simple and we didn’t have to venture far with the key ingredient being the milk. It was our Velluto Blueberry Gelato that stole the judges taste-buds, taking out the Best in Category and Gold, arguably becoming the best Gelato of the land for the year. We now to date have a total of 20 medals and hopefully still counting.
