The KC Parlour is a merge of a Gelato and Sorbet tasting room, combined with an historic journey down memory lane. Celebrating the past of two family's memorabilia from over 100 years of Jersey farming and industry. Made on-sight you can taste an array of fresh flavours with a true  Kiwi country experience.

OUR UNIQUE difference

We think we are unique, because we see the process through from when the calf is born, through till when the scoop hits the cone. We also think we are unique because we us the most traced milk in New Zealand from a farm that is one of the leading properties farming for the future. We craft this uniqueness into Gelato, not as common as ice cream around these neck of the woods, but we are proud to be different, or what we say - unique.

WHAT THE CONNOISSEURS THINK

Our journey has seen us acquire many fruits for our labour, one of them being at the 2017 New Zealand Ice Cream Awards. The Crème de la Crème of two categories, plus multiple golds and silvers. When it comes to flavour, it’s all about keeping it simple and we didn’t have to venture far with the key ingredient produced from Ben and Sarah's very own Jersey Herd. It was our Velluto Blueberry Yoghurt Gelato that stole the judges taste-buds, taking out the Best in Category and Gold for the Gelato category, arguably becoming the best Gelato of the land. We now to date have a total count of 20 medals and hopefully still counting.

KŌWHAI CREAMERY IS A BOUTIQUE CREAMERY BASED IN MATAMATA, NEW ZEALAND. HAND CRAFTING GELATO with love USING INGREDIENTS OF A REGION HISTORICALLY RICH FOR IT’S DAIRY EXCELLENCE. THE BRAND WAS BORN IN 2015 WITH THE IDEA TO BRING THIS BACK.

WE BATCH MAKE OUR GELATO USING ONLY THE BEST FULL CREAM MILK FRESH FROM BEN AND SARAH'S VERY OWN JERSEY HERD. THESE COWS ARE FED ON LUSH WAIKATO PASTURES AND FARMED USING ETHICAL, ECO-FRIENDLY, BIOLOGICAL AND SUSTAINABLE METHODS.
